WSJ Magazine 2021 Innovator Awards Menswear Roundup

There were of course some notable menswear we couldn’t ignore on the red carpet for WSJ. Magazine 2021 Innovator Awards held at MOMA on Monday (November 1) in New York City.

I have to start with Lil Nas X who has given us such a variety of looks, that you can never pigeon-hole his style.

This Thom Browne cricket seamed four-bar oversized cardigan overcoat and mohair pleated skirt is perhaps his most elegant this year.

So much polish, while staying true to his fun-natured approach to fashion, with a Thom Browne Lucido leather Hector bag accessorising his look along with platforms which help sell this look.

I love the colour of Lewis Hamilton’s suit, along with the cut and slim-fit.

The wideness and heaviness of the boots were not only throwing me off, but also the length of the trousers.

Ryan Reynolds, who has been wearing Brunello Cucinelli somewhat exclusively for two years or so, opted to wear a custom wool glen plaid three-piece suit from another Italian brand, Dolce & Gabbana.

The brand has changed, yet the high level of elegance remains.

If you told me that this Thom Browne Spring 2022 trompe l’oeil draped dress was a custom look for Jordan Roth, I would believe you, as this look is fit for only someone with his sartorial prowess.

James Turlington proved that the Turlington’s are genetically blessed, as the nephew of supermodel Christy Turlington took to the red carpet looking very suave in this Dior Men black suit with the signature oblique jacket, styled with Dior B23 oblique high-top sneakers.
