Severe thunderstorms hit the Gulf Coast area on Wednesday, May 25, bringing heavy rain and flooding to parts of northeast Louisiana, central Mississippi, north-central Mississippi, and southwest Mississippi. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a hazardous climate warning for the area via Wednesday night time, and stated some thunderstorms might produce damaging hail and winds. A twister was additionally doable, in line with the NWS. Localized flooding might happen via Thursday morning, the NWS stated, particularly in low-lying and concrete areas.
