Former NATO chief General Sir Richard Shirreff says worldwide assist should proceed to help Ukraine within the face of “mass Russian onslaught.”
Mr Shirreff mentioned any peace-keeping mission should be “equipped as if for war” particularly as tensions develop in Ukraine.
“We’re seeing a Russian army that is bogged down, that has failed to meet its objectives, that has demonstrated incompetence,” he advised Sky News Australia.
“What should not happen is a no-fly zone, particularly a no-fly zone from NATO. Because any form of no-fly zone is effectively an act of war.”
