The highly popular Power Rangers live-action TV series is going through broadcasting changes. Power Rangers Dino Fury season 2 will be a Netflix US exclusive. The new season is planned to be released sometime in Spring of 2022.
Based on Super Sentai, the upcoming Power Rangers Dino Fury season 2 will be Power Rangers‘ 29th season overall. The series was licensed by Netflix from Entertainment One and Hasbro. Nickelodeon had been home to the series since 2011. But, as you can see, things have changed. Interestingly, even though fans in the US will be getting an exclusive season next year, Netflix lost the back catalog for Power Rangers in February of this year, resulting in over 700 episodes being taken off the streaming service.
Power Rangers Dino Fury season 2 is ready to introduce new characters, weapons, and Zords. The new vehicles include the Dino Fury Cycle, a T-rex-inspired motorcycle with blasters. The returning cast from season 1 includes Zayto (Red Ranger), Ollie (Blue Ranger), Izzy (Green Ranger), Javi (Black Ranger), Amelia (Pink Ranger), and Aiyon (Gold Ranger).
The storyline for the second season will reveal the fate of Void Knight and Santaura. Zayto and Aiyon will also get to discover more about Rafkon, their home planet. Of course, relationship drama will continue. The Rangers will also get new power-ups, including Dino Boost Keys.
The first season of Power Rangers Dino Fury consists of 22 episodes. For those who might not know, the show introduced viewers to a queer Ranger through Izzy Garcia. Considering the Power Rangers franchise has existed decades without proper queer representation, seeing Izzy with her girlfriend Fern was welcomed by fans.
Power Rangers Dino Fury season 1 episode 13, titled ‘The Matchmaker’, involved Izzy’s step-brother Javi wanting to set her up with Adrian. It took the entire episode for Javi to realize that Izzy was into Fern. I recommend watching this particular episode.
