Oman captain Zeeshan Maqsood won the toss and opted to bat first against Scotland here at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1), Al Amerat in the 10th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 group B on Thursday. Oman and Scotland are fighting for the one spot in the super 12 stage and whoever wins this game will qualify.

Teams

Oman (Playing XI): Aqib Ilyas, Jatinder Singh, Kashyap Prajapati, Zeeshan Maqsood(c), Khawar Ali, Naseem Khushi, Suraj Kumar(w), Sandeep Goud, Mohammad Nadeem, Fayyaz Butt, Bilal Khan

Scotland (Playing XI): George Munsey, Kyle Coetzer(c), Matthew Cross(w), Richie Berrington, Calum MacLeod, Michael Leask, Chris Greaves, Mark Watt, Josh Davey, Safyaan Sharif, Bradley Wheal

Both team captains at the toss

Kyle Coetzer: We are comfortable having to chase. Evans is missing out, Safyaan comes in. We have got a real belief in the group. Having to win three games to top the group, if that is what we have to do we are comfortable to do that.

Zeeshan Maqsood: We will bat first. We have to put up a good total and defend it. Pitch will play differently in the second innings. So we want to put up a good total, bit of spin too. Khawar Ali is playing, Kaleemullah isn’t playing. Suraj Kumar is playing, Ayaan Khan is not.
