New principal Matthew Leeds sacked over allegations of misconduct

The chairman’s email was circulating widely through the Scotch Old Boys network last night.

Sources close to the matter said the original allegations were the subject of an investigation by Geelong Grammar under the former Principal, Stephen Meek, which concluded in early 2018.

Scotch is believed to have been contacted by a whistleblower with new information, which prompted their investigation.

Geelong Grammar was contacted for comment on Thursday night and did not respond. The Age and Sydney Morning Herald has contacted Mr Leeds, Scotch and Geelong for comment.

Mr Leeds’ LinkedIn page was inactive on Thursday night.
