‘Hopefully’ those missing in NSW floods will be rescued

Sky News host Paul Murray says the hundreds of people still missing in floods in New South Wales have an “anxious wait” ahead of them but “hopefully” they will all be saved.

“As the clean-up efforts start to become the attention in Queensland … we have to talk about the reality of what was taking place in New South Wales today,” he said.

“A frightening amount of water that burst not one but three major river banks, and centuries of records – well they’ve all been beaten in what has happened in the past 24 hours.”

Mr Murray said at this time around 400 people need rescuing in Lismore in New South Wales.
