Homer softball tops Kenai | Peninsula Clarion


The visiting Homer softball staff moved to 2-2 within the Northern Lights Conference and 7-13 total with a 14-0 victory over Kenai Central in 4 innings Tuesday. The Kardinals fall to 1-2 and 3-7.

Zoe Adkins was dominant on the mount for Homer, going all 4 innings and giving up only one hit whereas strolling none and putting out 9.

At the plate for Homer, Kaylin Anderson was 2 for 3 with two runs, Becca Trowbridge was 2 for 3 with three runs, Adkins had two runs and Julie Guess had two runs.

Kyana Giriskevich took the loss for the Kardinals, pitching all 4 innings and giving up eight hits and 14 runs — simply eight earned. She had eight walks and 4 strikeouts.

Maggie Grenier had the hit for the Kardinals.
