The Cottonwood Community Band, beneath the path of Jeff Bowell, introduced a spring live performance to be held on Sunday, May 1, at 3 p.m. on the Phillip England Center for the Performing Arts in Camp Verde. 

The live performance is introduced freed from cost.

“For a community band in a rather small community, we have been blessed with a remarkable wealth of talent and this concert will feature original compositions from three members of the band, among other things,” Bowell mentioned.

The band’s elder statesman, Paul Rosenfeld, who’s now 90 and nonetheless energetic within the band, composed a march titled “The Bells of Freedom” manner again in 1956, and it contains a trio of musicians enjoying glockenspiels. Former band conductor Julie Lacksonen (previously Smith) composed a variety she titled “Jest So” and devoted it to a former band mate who possessed an offbeat humorousness and handed away in 2004.
