Comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked on Tuesday evening by a person who rushed on stage whereas the comic was acting at a Los Angeles venue, police have confirmed.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman mentioned officers responded to the incident on the Hollywood Bowl about 10.45pm. The man, who was carrying a reproduction gun, was taken to a close-by hospital to be evaluated for accidents. Chappelle was not severely harmed, police mentioned.
The LAPD spokesman mentioned the incident was being investigated and that the person was in police custody.
