Ballarat youth allegedly attempts bottleshop robbery armed with glass | The Courier

An 18-year-old man has been remanded in custody after an alleged attempted armed robbery at a bottleshop on Humffray Street. It’s alleged Owen Morrison, armed with a 10cm shard of glass, entered the Ballarat Leagues Club’s Rumerz bottleshop about 10.30pm on Friday, and threatened the attendant, according to Victoria Police media and court documents. The offender made demands for cash but fled the scene empty-handed. IN THE NEWS The Ballarat North man was arrested and Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged him with attempted armed robbery, assault with a weapon, and driving offences for driving without L plates or a supervising driver.
