The political scandal enveloping the Victorian Labor Party has simply bought “a whole lot murkier” after it was revealed Premier Daniel Andrews was interviewed by anti-corruption physique IBAC, based on Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“This affair has been on the nose for a long, long while, of course, but now we know Premier Andrews was grilled secretly by Victoria’s anti-corruption watchdog as part of the investigation into branch stacking and misuse of taxpayers’ money,” Mr Kenny stated.
IBAC’s draft report into the tradition of the Andrews authorities was leaked to The Age, revealing “a political culture, condoned or even actively encouraged by senior figures, of ends justifying means and of bending and breaking rules”.
“Daniel Andrews provided a masterclass today in how to duck and weave and avoid scrutiny before the media this morning.
“This stuff is dynamite; it creates a window into disgraceful Labor Party practices, right in the middle of the federal election campaign.”
