Quoin Rock Wine Estate has a sublime area to showcase native, small-batched wines of the Knorhoek Valley. Qbar Wine Bar is in a vibrant, secluded courtyard in Stellenbosch; it’s the right spot to wind down or meet up with mates. Live cellosit, Sunday Kelechi, performs each Sunday afternoon and units the temper for this French fashion bar.

CHILL IN A SECLUDED COURTYARD

Qbar’s vibrant emerald-green-and-gold inside has introduced further glamour to De Wet Courtyard, well-known for its many cafes, artwork galleries and bars. It seems like an unique French bar, with its velvet banquettes inside and canvas umbrellas on the skin. And but you are only some steps away from the hustle and bustle of Stellenbosch Central.

TASTE AWARD-WINNING WINES

Quoin Rock is a wine farm set within the Knorhoek Valley, and Qbar means its award-winning wines at the moment are available within the coronary heart of Stellenbosch.

Wines accessible embody Namysto Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon and Quoin Rock Black Series MCC. The prime vendor at Qbar is the Knorhoek Chenin Blanc, which has been fastidiously crafted from Old Vine Certified vineyards which have been on the farm for over 40 years. Or have fun with Knorhoek MCC, with its notes of inexperienced apple, white Turkish delight, lime and biscuit.

SIP SIGNATURE COCKTAILS

If wine is not your fashion, Qbar has a number of signature cocktails. From negronis (an Italian cocktail, made of 1 half gin, one half vermouth and one half Campari) to caipirinhas (a tackle the traditional Brazilian drink, however utilizing Knorhoek Clear Gin, lime juice and lime), you’ll be tempted to attempt all of them. Experience distinctive, uncomplicated flavors in Qbar’s tapas menu, created by Executive Chef Jack Coetzee of Gåte Restaurant.
